We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Integrity Engineer to join our team in El Dorado, AR.
This role is critical to ensuring the reliability and safety of our chemical process facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing our mechanical integrity program, overseeing inspections, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
➡️ Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), including penetrant testing (PT), visual testing (VT), positive metal identification (PMI), and ultrasonic thickness (UT) measurements on key structures, components, and welds.
- Perform inspections of piping hangers and structural supports according to the mechanical integrity (MI) schedule.
- Maintain detailed inspection and test reports for process piping, vessels, and tanks, ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Supervise third-party inspectors during outages and other scheduled assignments, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and industry regulations.
- Manage inspection data within the Plant Condition Management Software (PCMS), including entering design data, setting inspection criteria, and scheduling inspections.
🔀 Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years in a related engineering role, preferably within the heavy chemical, refining, or petrochemical industries.
- Certifications: Must possess API 510, 570, and 653 certifications.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an ABET-accredited program.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of NDT methods, regulatory requirements (including OSHA and EPA), and inspection management software such as PCMS or IDMS.
- Communication Skills: Proficient in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals, with strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
