A financial firm is looking for a Senior Analyst to join their team. This role is remote.
Pay: $35-40/hr
Location: Remote, may be asked to come onsite periodically so should be local (Richmond, VA)
Must be a USC only - L2 clearance required

-Day to Day Expectations: Peer and customer engagement, Available for on camera video calls during working hours, Maintain agile boards
Responsibilities:
Provides research and analysis of information security data and responds to inquiries; identifies issues of varying complexity in order to develop recommendations to solve problems and issues related to information security.
Provides guidance in identifying, evaluating and developing processes and procedures that are effective, meet requirements and IS standards and follow IS policy and/or IS risk compliance regulations.
Provides reporting and analysis to assist in executing solutions and may provide consultation to clients, colleagues and management.
Participates in cross-functional linked teams to address IS policy/risk or compliance issues.
Determines best practices and suggests how to improve current practices and/or monitoring.
Senior level position requires a seasoned professional with a full understanding of industry practices. Requires high level of experience and proficiency in field.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience with 6 to 9+ years of relevant work experience.
Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge pertaining to concepts and principles in functional area.
Communications: Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, creativity, attention to detail, and oral and written communications skills tailored for the intended audience.
Risk Management: Responsible for understanding and applying risk management discipline in decision making, and contributing to his or her functions risk management.
Decision Making: Works under direction and guidance in planning details of procedures and methods to attain definite objectives. Makes decisions within established or widely accepted standards. Achieves assigned/planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, training, business principles, and practical experience.
1) Performs complex analysis of major business issues and proactively searches for and recommends sustainable solutions utilizing established methodology and tools within information security areas.
2) Works with the clients and other resources to assess current capabilities, identify the high-level customer needs and recommends business process improvements and sustainable solutions within information security areas.
3) Proactively reviews, compiles and analyzes detailed and complex statistics and data for major business issues. Provides guidance and collaboration in completing analysis, information or process mapping, and/or alignment of the business and related areas. May evaluate root cause and effect into solutions.
4) Leads process improvement and solution discussions and presents outcomes in written and verbal format to senior management within information security areas.
5) Develops and designs new business processes of a major and critical nature and the elaboration and updating of existing business processes.
6) Key participant in cross-functional team initiatives and process improvement projects within information security areas.
Working Conditions: Will require the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc.
Physical Demands: Requires some degree of sitting (for prolonged periods of time), standing, lifting carrying, pushing, pulling less than 20 lbs.
Hours of Work: May require extended work hours. Occasional travel including overnight stays may be necessary.
