Specialized Recruiting Group is seeking an Enterprise Business Analyst for a contract position with a local municipality.
This is a temporary contract with a pay rate of $36/hour to $42/hour, depending upon qualifications, and a schedule of 37.5 hours per week. The contract is essentially open-ended and has the potential to convert to permanent employment, if it proves to be a mutual fit for both sides. Work is performed both remotely (3-4 days/week) and in-office in Durham, NC (1-2 days/week).
As an Enterprise Business Analyst, you would be interacting with business unit representatives regarding IT initiatives, performing independent analysis, and writing business cases. This will require a strong balance of people skills and technical skills, as well as excellent initiative.
Responsibilities Include:
- Lead, engage, and coordinate with multi-departmental teams to produce better business outcomes and communicate and validate requirements with relevant stakeholders.
- Write clear and well-structured business requirements/documents.
- Identify automation opportunities, business opportunities, and analyze process issues and bottlenecks to make improvements.
- Create reports, dashboards and visualizations to understand business performance.
- Help administer various communication, productivity, and reporting tools.
- Collaborate with supervisor and leadership team on department roadmap planning and prioritization.
- Produce PowerPoint slides.
- Deliver clear, concise, and persuasive oral presentations (in person and/or remotely) and adapt content and delivery based on audience, subject matter expertise, and desired outcomes.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a directly related field.
- Two years of related experience.
- Business Analyst Certification.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, Zoom, and cloud-based communication and productivity applications.
- Knowledge and experience working with emerging technology and technology systems typically used in local government.
- Experience engaging stakeholders, facilitating meetings, and seeking feedback.
- Experience working on long-term projects, maintaining project schedules, and managing project risk.
- Experience identifying, proposing, and facilitating improvements to business processes.
