Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Telemetry Nurse, BMT, Hematology Oncology, Oncology Nurse Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night, 12-hour shifts, every other weekend rotation, and some holidays Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in acute care within the last 3 years License: Must have a nursing license from a compact state or the state of practice Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) certified through the American Heart Association - Chemotherapy certification required Must-Have: - Chemo and/or Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) experience - Experience in an Academic Level 1 Trauma center or similar size hospital - Basic Arrhythmia experience - Ability to pass a telemetry test prior to starting Job Description: - Join a team of remarkable nurses that use compassion and teamwork to care for patients. - Work in a 39-bed unit providing care to acutely ill patients of varying ages and diagnoses, including end-of-life care. - Establish and form therapeutic relationships with patients. - Engage in cutting-edge, evidence-based therapies and research studies to improve patient outcomes. - Participate in quality improvement initiatives and lead practice change. - Engage in a teaching and learning culture, continuously seeking to understand problems and solutions. - Be willing to float to different units based on competency skills and experience.
