Pride Health is hiring a Lab Assistant to support our client’s medical facility based in Burlington NC. This is a 3 month assignment with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Job Title: Lab Assistant
Location: Burlington NC
Duration: 3 Months+
Schedule: 10:00am-7:00pm
Pay Range: $17 per hour
*Pay rate is based on years of experience and educational qualifications.
Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Lab Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this high-volume, production-based role, you will be responsible for essential tasks that support our clinical lab operations. Key Responsibilities:
Receive and sort clinical lab specimens efficiently.
Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
Perform scanning and data entry of specimen and patient information.
Ensure lab equipment is functioning properly and conduct minor maintenance as needed.
Troubleshoot specimen-related issues as they arise.
Replenish test bench supplies to maintain workflow.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Complete record logs and assist with administrative duties as required.
Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to uphold safety and quality standards.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous medical/lab or production experience preferred.
Comfortable handling biological specimens.
Ability to accurately identify specimens.
Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills.
High attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods.
Must pass a standardized color blindness test.
Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
