Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Medical-Surgical Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day/Night Rotating Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical experience License: Active SD or Compact RN license Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Must-Have: OB Experience (preferred) Job Description: - Perform general nursing duties, including critical care and obstetrics nursing (preferred). - Use various equipment and technology, including computerized charting systems and medication systems like Pixis. - Manage a caseload with typically 3 to 4 patients per nurse, varying with census and acuity. - Work 12-hour shifts, including weekdays, weekends, holidays, with potential on-call requirements. - Potential to float to obstetrics during shifts. - Work within a 25-bed unit, adhering to a nurse-to-patient ratio of 3:1 or 4:1. - Adhere to dress code: navy scrubs with no logos; white can be worn under uniform or with a white lab coat. - Complete EPIC computer training and 1 day of Medical-Surgical training. - Work every other weekend and holiday. - Local candidates from an 80-mile radius are welcome.
