Sabatini Engineering LLC is looking to hire a junior to mid-level process engineer to join a small and upcoming engineering firm which specializes in process design and operations support for petrochemical and related facilities. The firm is local to the New Orleans metro area and focuses on establishing client relationships to support new projects and ongoing facilities operations. Process Engineer would be involved in supporting any current and future projects and would be exposed to a variety of different work subjects within the industry. Areas of skills development would include:
- Relief system design and auditing – relief header simulations using Aspen Flare System Analyzer
- Steady state process simulation using Aspentech HYSYS
- Dynamic simulations using HYSYS to solve specific design or operability questions that arise
- Pipeline surge simulation
- Heat Exchanger design and simulation using HYSYS EDR
- Equipment sizing, specification (Valves, vessels, pumps, etc.)
- Equipment procurement support
- Participation in process HAZAN (Hazard Analysis) meetings
- P&ID (Process & Instrumentation Drawing) development
- Facility process controls design
The position would be full time for in-office with some flexibility for a partial work from home schedule. Paid Time Off (PTO), holidays, 401(k) health insurance, other benefits included. Annual salary would range from $100,000 - $130,000 base pay with overtime pay at normal hourly rate, plus bonus.
Recommended experience for applicants: Chemical or Mechanical Engineering bachelor’s degree with process engineering experience, 2-7 years experience working in process engineering or chemicals processing related engineering, process simulation experience a plus.
