Russell Tobin + Associates is currently seeking Logistics Coordinators to support their Inbound Transportation group in Tempe, AZ. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a dynamic team and gain valuable experience in the ecommerce industry. This is a 4-month contract that is TEMP TO HIRE for successful contractors!
Job Title: Logistics Coordinator
Pay: $22.00 - 23.63/hour (based upon experience)
Duration: 4-months - CONTRACT TO HIRE
Schedule: Monday – Friday // 40hrs/week // 8:30am - 5:00pm
Location: HYBRID (2 days onsite; 3 days remote) in Tempe, AZ
Mon/Tues - onsite
Wed-Fri - remote
**Role will transition to fully onsite by end of 2024
Tentative start date: October 21st
Responds to shipper freight disruption cases, schedulers, and incidences of backlogged shipments. Takes appropriate action to resolve the delays. Communicates directly with shippers via email, telephone, and instant messages. Serves as liaison between our client, shippers, and carriers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Resolve Inbound Transportation disruptions for shipping of sellers products. Provide administrative assistance to the Inbound Transportation group including managing scheduled pickups, re-routing hauls, resolving issues, data analysis, and interacting with several vendors. (Hauls = 18 wheelers with freight)
- Handle disruption management of shipments, proactively working to resolve shipping issues with third parties (3PL)
- Ensure the inventory/inbound freight is picked up and sent to the fulfillment center - minimal outbound calls
- Gives information to shippers and carriers. Transcribes notes, researches and presents solutions to shipper concerns using established standard work. Monitors shipper disruption cases or backlogged freight within established service level agreements
- Will be assigned vendors and use Excel to track vendor activity.
- Reach out to vendors to learn issues and resolve.
- Analyze vendor and shipment data in Excel.
- Problem-solving with shipment (i.e. why shipment wasn't picked up).
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum associate's degree; bachelor's preferred
- At least 1 year of related industry work experience in supply chain or transportation logistics
- Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office
- Able to analyze and interpret data
- Problem-solving attitude, as each case is different with no one-size-fits-all solution.
- Able to work with multiple systems and screens (multiple tabs + systems at once)
