Job Description:
- The Information Security and Privacy (IS&P) unit requires a contractor to develop dashboards, analytics, and reports.
- Background: IS&P seeks the services of a contractor to work alongside existing analysts in support of the Board's governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) program.
- The Contractor shall:
- Develop executive-facing reporting and dashboarding solutions that are responsive to customer needs.
- Improve existing GRC metrics for evaluating the security of systems and applications, as well as for evaluating overall risk at both the system and enterprise levels.
Requirements:
- The candidate shall possess the knowledge and skills set forth in the Specialized Cybersecurity and Privacy Support Services BOA, Section H.3.d. for Security Engineering Senior, with the following set of specific knowledge:
- Strong hands-on experience producing dynamic reports and dashboards leveraging Splunk.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing Splunk indexers, search heads, and forwarders.
- Splunk certifications (e.g., Splunk Certified Administrator, Splunk Certified Architect) are highly desired.
- Strong knowledge of SQL querying and data analysis techniques.
- Solid understanding of log management, data parsing, and data normalization techniques.
- Experience with continuous monitoring metrics and reporting.
- Strong analytical skills, initiative, and ability to learn quickly and manage multiple tasks and technologies.
- Knowledge of OMB M-21-31 requirements is highly preferred.
Responsibilities:
- The candidate shall provide support for the Board's GRC program that includes, but is not BOARD OF GOVERNORS OF THE FEDERAL RESERVE SYSTEM REQUEST FOR TASK ORDER PROPOSALS limited to, the following tasks:
- Assess current dashboards and reporting used to track metrics related to the GRC program.
- Recommend and implement enhancements to those existing dashboards and reports.
- Develop and implement new Splunk dashboards, reports, alerts, and visualizations to provide actionable insights.
- Provide guidance Board teams on how they can leverage Splunk for log analysis, monitoring, and troubleshooting purposes.
