Job Summary:
The Loan Servicing Specialist coordinates and processes a variety of service tasks on PrideCo’s entire loan portfolio from loan doc generation through loan payoff; provides customer service to all parties to the loan; and participates in overall department projects.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
1. LOAN DOC GENERATION / FUNDING:
- Loan document generation - drafts loan docs utilizing Lightning Doc system.
- Prepares for loan funding according to procedure by executing tasks on the internal Funding Checklist. Works with escrows, titles, brokers, and borrowers to coordinate successful loan closing.
2. SERVICING:
- Stakeholder Communication/Troubleshooting - interfaces directly with loan contacts including brokers, borrowers, escrow agents, and title officers; ensuring excellent customer service and bringing issues to successful completion.
- Servicing A/R - manages file onboarding and accounts receivable in conjunction with FCI via tracking and communication to borrowers. Escalates issues to Loan Operations Manager.
- Extensions Admin – prepares reports on maturing loans and generates/processes extension documents as approved by Loan Operations Manager. Updates software systems for accurate reporting.
- Notice of Default – prepares and distributes notices related to default and foreclosure as approved by Loan Operations Manager.
- Team Meeting Participation - participates and reports out in all team meetings on Servicing function.
- Reporting & Research - researches and reports monthly on loan details/portfolio.
- Loan CRM expert – assist with build out, implementation, and maintenance of loan software system. Ensures loan processing software and systems are updated, accurate, and maintained.
- Loan Payoff – assists with loan payoff tasks and reports.
3. GENERAL/AD-HOC:
- May perform special projects, research, and analysis as requested regarding loan operations.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Skills / Abilities:
- Minimum one (1) year of loan servicing experience is required;
- High school diploma or GED required
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
- Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and perform well in fast-paced environment;
- Strong verbal, written, and oral communication skills;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with loan CRM software; preferably The Mortgage Office
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality relative to daily work schedule is required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- May require minimal light lifting.
