Mechanical Project Engineer - Wastewater Treatment Plant

Description:
Immediate need for a Mechanical Project Engineer for wastewater treatment projects. First up, a multi-year project on Staten Island. In-person at the plant on Staten Island. (Oakwood Beach)
Responsibilities:
- Perform extensive modeling of interior spaces and pipe networks using BIM, Revit, and CAD.
- Much of this position is dedicated to design, preparation of layout, and field coordination.
- Creation of shop and fabrication drawings for use in mechanical construction.
- Create existing condition drawings to document current conditions in an inoperable wastewater treatment plant.
- Maintain as-built drawings throughout the construction process.
- Document daily progress of the project through photos, and daily reports.
- Support the project team through the installation of large mechanical and electrical components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration of new mechanical systems.
- Perform all duties assigned by your Project Manager.
Job Requirements:
- 3-10+ years of experience in mechanical construction and project engineering in public-works environments.
- Proven experience with large mechanical equipment.
- Proven experience in 3D design using software such as Revit.
- Proven experience in public works construction is preferred but not required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and communication skills
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar is preferred but not required.
