Tradesmen is hiring for a new role that will be supporting our largest shipyard clients. The Onboarding Administrator (internally called Project Coordinator) will be responsible for supporting and engaging with candidates through the administrative process to start their new career with various shipyards. Daily tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Provide administrative support of the shipyard leased labor vendor process
- Administers process following the established process map
- Performing day-to-day process administration tasks
- Conduct background interview with candidates
- Initiate background check for candidate
- Submit rehire checks to 3rd party vendor management company- when required
- Submit into appropriate leased labor vendor system
- Monitor and manage responses from leased labor vendor system
- Communicate offer to candidates and update leased labor vendor system
- Schedule appropriate physical tests per requirements
- Schedule appropriate drug screens per requirements
- Schedule appropriate training per requirements
- Confirm start date with candidate and leased labor vendor system
- Inventory and collect appropriate required PPE for candidate
- Attend orientation with candidate on first scheduled day
- Facilitating resources commitment and allocation
- Creating, analyzing and distributing process reports to appropriate leadership
- Ensuring completeness and integrity of information collected to conduct daily operations
- Align activity to meet KPI measurements and targets to improve process effectiveness and efficiency
Our ideal candidate will have 3-5 years’ experience coordinating a staffing process. They will have examples of their daily organization and will have an expert level of Microsoft Excel experience. This individual will be interacting daily with candidates and providing support to them, so they must have a positive, professional, and helpful attitude and approach to their daily responsibilities. This position will be onsite in our Newport News office.
