Job Title: Laboratory Technician
Location: Birmingham, AL metro area
Salary: $50-55,000 + Benefits
Job Summary: As a Lab Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our research initiatives by conducting a variety of analytical, biological, and performance tests. The ideal candidate will be eager to contribute and grow their scientific expertise to our innovative projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate and timely analytical, biological, and performance testing on a diverse range of samples.
- Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure the highest level of performance and accuracy.
- Follow established laboratory procedures and protocols and maintain compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Analyze and interpret test results, prepare detailed reports, and communicate findings to teams and project leads.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support ongoing research projects and contribute to the development of new testing methodologies.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe working environment by adhering to good laboratory practices (GLP).
- Continuously seek opportunities to expand technical knowledge and stay current with industry advancements.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a GxP lab setting, with a focus on analytical and performance testing.
- A bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering is preferred; relevant experience or an advanced degree is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to analyze, compile, organize, and present data.
- Proficiency in standard laboratory software and computer applications.
