Responsibilities
We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Law Firm Mail Clerk. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to our legal team and ensuring the smooth functioning of office operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing attorney calendars, scheduling appointments, and organizing meetings.
- Prepare and process legal documents, correspondence, and court filings.
- Maintain and organize physical and electronic filing systems.
- Answer phone calls, take messages, and redirect calls as necessary.
- Perform general office tasks such as photocopying, scanning, and faxing documents.
- Assist with billing and invoicing processes.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and service providers as needed.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
- Assist with other administrative tasks and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in office administration or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably in a law firm or legal environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently under pressure.
- Professional demeanor and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures is a plus.
