Role: Electronics Design Engineer
Location: Indianapolis, IN (Hybrid working)
Salary: $68,240 - $95,000
Relocation Assistance: Provided if applicable
Key Responsibilities:
- Concept and Design: Develop electronic circuit designs for control and monitoring systems.
- Schematic and PCB Layout: Create schematics and support PCB layout.
- Analysis and Simulation: Perform trade studies, tolerance analyses, and various simulations to ensure design accuracy and efficiency.
- Worst Case Circuit Calculation: Conduct tolerance, stress, and FMEA analyses.
- Product Development: Test, diagnose, and inspect electrical hardware products throughout the development lifecycle.
- Certification Documentation: Compile functional descriptions and design assurance testing results for certifying authorities.
Basic Requirements:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering with 1+ years of electronic hardware circuit design experience, OR
- Master’s degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, OR
- PhD in Electronics/Electrical Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 2+ years’ experience in circuit design.
- Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI).
- Strong electronic hardware design experience.
- Experience with schematic capture tools such as Allegro-Cadence/Altium Designer.
- Experience with Root Cause Analysis and other problem-solving techniques.
- Experience with power converters, filtering, protection, and EMI reduction techniques.
- Skills: Ability to analyze and translate high-level requirements into validated electrical component designs.
