Job Title: HR Manager

LHH is seeking a HR Manager with legal industry experience for our client in DTLA. As the HR Manager, you will be instrumental in managing all HR functions within the firm. Your role will encompass everything from employee relations and recruitment to payroll management and compliance. This position requires a strong background in HR within smaller-sized law firms or corporate services, with a focus on the legal industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- HR Management: Oversee all HR activities including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and offboarding.
- Payroll Management: Manage payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Familiarity with payroll systems is essential.
- HRIS Administration: Utilize HRIS systems (preferably BambooHR) to maintain employee records, manage benefits, and streamline HR processes. Experience with ADP or other HRIS platforms is also acceptable.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations. Prepare and maintain reports related to HR metrics and payroll.
- Employee Support: Provide guidance and support to employees on HR-related matters, including benefits, conflict resolution, and career development.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of HR experience within a boutique law firm or similar corporate services environment. Legal industry experience is mandatory.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Payroll Knowledge: Experience managing payroll or a strong understanding of payroll processes.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel. Experience with BambooHR or similar HRIS platforms is highly desirable.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
