Sales Engineer
Drive revenue in the large broadcast markets by managing pre-sales technical processes, assisting with post-sales implementations, and acting as an expert on the Company's network video streaming and media delivery platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate and explain products to decision-makers and technical staff.
- Design technical solutions for partners and customers.
- Provide pre-sales technical support.
- Assist with proof-of-concept engagements and post-sale support.
- Support sales managers with account and project management.
- Complete technical sections for RFP/RFI/RFQ responses.
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitive information.
- Build long-term relationships with resellers, integrators, and partners.
- Assist with setup and operation at training and trade shows.
- Travel up to 50% within North America.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in software, IP video, encoding/decoding, bonded cellular, and/or advanced IP networking.
- Strong customer engagement skills.
- Interest in the broadcast media industry.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated with good time management.
- Proven track record of building strong customer relationships.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with senior executives and technical decision-makers.
Technical Competencies:
- Knowledge in IP Video Streaming, encoding/decoding, and bonded cellular data transmission.
- Experience with LAN/WAN network topologies, CDNs, and multicast network distribution.
- Understanding of video compression technologies and media transport protocols.
- Familiarity with audio/video delivery over terrestrial and satellite IP networks is a plus.
- Comfort with Linux command line and scripting languages like Python or JavaScript is a plus.
