Job DescriptionPower Solutions (PS), newly formed as of January 1st, 2024, has the ambition to shape the path toward a carbon-neutral society as the number one partner and supplier of power solutions
The System Engineer will focus on regulatory / legislative analysis and powertrain simulation to support the development of next-generation powertrain technologies
- Perform vehicle and fleet simulations to analyze e.g. the impact of legislative requirements and upcoming regulations on the vehicle topology or the sub-system, e.g. the e-drive
- Derive performance and thermal requirements for the sub-systems and components for NA-specific use cases (e.g. towing)
- Observe technical trends in the automotive market and their impact on the relevant components, e.g. powertrain topology trends
- Engage with universities and national labs on the abovementioned topics
QualificationsMinimum Requirements Include:
- Masters Degree in an Engineering related field.
- Experiences with vehicle simulations tools and methods
- Experience with Matlab SIMULINK
- Knowledge of hybrid vehicle powertrain modeling principles
- Excellent communication and organization skills with a strong attention to details.
- Able to work in a cross-functional team environment and effectively present the concept.
Desired:
- Familiar with GT-Suite software for engine and vehicle simulations
- Knowledge of vehicle energy management system and control methods
- Experiences in development and research projects
