We are looking for a resourceful and hard-working paralegal to join our estate planning and probate firm. The ideal candidate is humble, willing to learn, pays attention to details, is able to self-correct and/or self-edit documents and communications and enjoys working in a team environment. This candidate will be responsible for drafting and editing estate planning documents and communications with clients as well as collecting and organizing documents and information about client matters. This candidate will also be tasked with assisting the attorneys in the firm with probate matters, including drafting and editing pleadings, filing pleadings, gathering information and assisting clients.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review and edit estate planning and probate documents
- Create, organize and maintain hard copy and electronic case files
- Facilitate attorneys with meeting deadlines by keeping organized schedules and providing timely reminders
- Conduct legal research, including research related to real estate titles and property matters
- Assist attorneys with other miscellaneous research and other matters
Qualifications
- Experience as a legal secretary, assistant or paralegal – preferred, but not required
- Bachelor's degree or Paralegal certificate – preferred
- Colorado notary, or eligible and able to obtain a Colorado notary
