Responsibilities:
- Respond to emergency maintenance calls and perform necessary repairs promptly.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to optimize system performance and support project goals.
- Document all work performed, including maintenance records, troubleshooting logs, and system performance reports.
- Install, commission, and maintain Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and related equipment.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
- Perform preventive maintenance on BESS, including electrical system inspections, diagnostics, and equipment calibration.
- Stay updated on the latest BESS technologies and industry trends.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues to ensure proper functionality and minimize downtime.
- Monitor system performance to ensure optimal operation of storage units.
- Assist with integrating BESS into larger energy systems, such as solar or wind power facilities.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience with electrical systems, ideally in renewable energy or battery storage.
- Preferred experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) or similar technologies.
- Proficient in electrical wiring, schematics, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of energy management systems, inverters, and power electronics.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Capable of working in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
- Willingness to travel to different job sites as needed.
- Valid driver's license required.
