Overview:
Serves as a clinical resource in Labor and Birth and performs duties and responsibilities in a manner coincident with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. Will work in coordination with the L&B leadership team and clinician. Responsible for implementing, organizing and following through the entire on boarding process from date of hire through the first year of employment. Coordinates the entire nurse fellowship with duties such as lectures, mandatory requirements, following up with preceptors and fellows, schedules guest speakers and making the fellowship schedules. Clinically capable and may staff L&B from time to time as determined to maintain a high level of skill set and may assist with orientation throughout the fellowship. Participates in quality improvement activities.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Requires at least 3-5 year experience in Labor and Birth.
- Required Education: Must have a BSN as a minimimum.
- Preferred Education : Masters degree. Will consider if currently enrolled in school to obtain a Masters degree.
- Certifications : BLS, NRP, EFM
