BI Developer – Contract – Remote – $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
The final salary or hourly wage, as applicable, paid to each candidate/applicant for this position is ultimately dependent on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s/applicant’s qualifications, skills, and level of experience as well as the geographical location of the position.

Our client is seeking a BI Developer in Remote opportunity.
Role Description
Strong project management skills and experience in all stages of development life cycle required. In-depth knowledge of the business, having spent 5 or more years in the healthcare industry. Extensive experience with SSIS, SRIS systems and of the like. Development of algorithms to improve revenue flow. High Enterprise level technological skills. Ability to write code from scratch without system prompts. Ability to identify weaknesses in system processes and identify/create resolutions. Strong communication skills with the capacity to analyze and present data. Serve as technical lead with multiple BI efforts with minimal supervision required. Must be knowledgeable in all aspects of design and construction of BI solutions, Balancing optimization, tuning, and data access. Individual must be comfortable with rapid application development and with developing requirements and design specifications for new and existing data models. Proven ability to work on multiple high-level projects at the same times. Assist with selection of hardware and software products for the BI architecture.
• Gather and document functional and technical requirements, and translate requirements into reporting solutions, analytic tools, and dashboards.
• Develop in-depth understanding of underlying data, data structures, and business uses to ensure reports meet client needs.
• Lead quality control and peer review processes to ensure integrity of the data available to users.
• Reviews queries for performance issues, making changes as needed.
• Create technical documentation of report logic and processes.
• Work with Developers to understand code changes that will impact analytics and tools.
• Support end-user community in the use of business intelligence tools to query databases and files for report outputs.
• Develop key operational, financial and customer centric dashboards and metrics.
• Develop and assist with training through the development of training tools and training of key staff.
• Provide support as required to ensure the availability and optimized performance of developed reports and dashboards for both external and internal users.
• Design and implement technology best practices, guidelines, and repeatable processes.
• Work with Production team to ensure new reports and/or processes abide to Production development standards.
• Clearly and precisely communicate business requests to team members.
• Develop a relationship of communication and trust with business stakeholders.
Skills & Requirements
• 4-8 years of BI Development experience in complex enterprise environments
• Must possess strong proficiency developing with SQL/T-SQL
• Must possess strong experience designing, developing, and deploying data visualization solutions & dashboards (using Power BI or comparable data visualization solutions)
• Must posses strong experience coding w/ MS BI Suite (SSIS, SSRS, SSMS)
• Excellent written and verbal skills and the ability to interface with multiple levels of management are essential
• Healthcare or finance / accounting experience preferred.
