The Management Trainee program is a12-month rotation meant to prepare new college graduates for entry level, front line supervisory positions across the organization. The rotations would occur in three broader segments:
- Mount Olive, North Carolina
- Garner, North Carolina
- Huntsville, Arkansas
During the program you will do hands-on rotations various business sectors such as Aviagen Breeders, Aviagen Hatchery, Goldsboro Milling Feed mill, Contract Catch and Haul, Live Receiving, EVIS, Cut Up, Further Processing, Ready To Eat, Distribution, Marketing, Multiple Sales Areas, R&D, BOSS, Environmental, Safety, HR, Finance and the Executive teams.
The program’s primary objective is to grow future leaders by providing professional development and a series of assignments that aligns with professional interest within the processing and manufacturing industry.
What you’ll do:
- Rotations: You will spend time learning and working in every business sector of your location. These rotations are designed to give you hands-on knowledge of what positions, equipment, and materials are involved in each specific production process.
- Responsibilities: Understanding how production supervisors manage their team, assisting to meet volume goals, maximize yields, and minimize claims. These responsibilities are accomplished all while ensuring employees follow quality and safety standards.
- Innovation: Seeking continuous improvements in operation processes and procedures.
- Leadership Training: Participate in multiple leadership development sessions
- Network: You will have the opportunity to network and form professional relationships with leaders and team members across our company through department rotations, leadership training, and the Management Trainee Buddy Program.

Do you have a knack for problem-solving and a passion for food? We're looking for creative minds who can help us make our food production process even better. You'll need to be a team player, ready to roll up your sleeves and get things done. Think you have what it takes to make a delicious difference?
- Pursuing a Bachelors, Master or PhD in Business, Poultry, Animal Science, Food Science or related field with an expected graduation date of December 2024 through June 2025
All participants in this program are required to have a valid drivers’ license and reliable transportation to and from work.
- Previous internships or co-op or work experience.
- Proficiency in math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages).
- Experience in poultry/meat food manufacturing (preferred but not required).
- Background in agriculture or farming (preferred but not required).
- Has actively participated or held office in a campus or community organization (preferred but not required).
- Exposure to lean and or lean Six Sigma practices (preferred but not required).
- Bilingual English and Spanish (preferred but not required).
