MRI Technologist Position Overview
Seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to perform Magnetic Resonance procedures autonomously under the guidance of a radiologist. The role involves conducting various technical procedures with a focus on radiological diagnosis utilizing ionizing radiation. The ideal candidate is skilled in providing patient care across all age groups and will report directly to the Director of Imaging.
Responsibilities
- Perform MRI diagnostic procedures and assist Radiologists during examinations.
- Ensure patient, peer, and personal safety throughout procedures.
- Maintain professional communication within and between departments.
- Manage supply conservation and report equipment issues promptly.
- Engage in continuous education in line with ARRT requirements.
- Fulfill any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: High school graduate or equivalent; completion of an accredited Radiologic technology program with advanced MRI certification.
- Licensure/Certification: Required MRI certification; American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification.
- Work Experience: Preferably two years of experience as a technologist with CT experience being a plus.
