Position Summary:
The Director of Operations will oversee and streamline day-to-day operations across recruitment, finance, marketing, and overall business administration. This role requires both strategic thinking and a hands-on approach, ensuring smooth processes while actively participating in the daily operational tasks.
The Director of Operations will manage and develop teams, optimize processes, and drive growth by implementing scalable systems. They will work closely with the executive team to translate high-level visions into actionable strategies and will be integral to the business's ability to scale efficiently while maintaining operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management:
- Oversee daily operations across recruitment, finance, and marketing to ensure processes are optimized, scalable, and aligned with company goals.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and implement best practices across all departments to improve productivity, reduce costs, and drive growth.
- Provide support to the Finance department with risk management, tax compliance, and financial reporting.
- Collaborate with marketing to streamline processes, manage budgets, and align marketing efforts with business objectives.
Recruitment and Team Leadership:
- Manage and develop the recruitment team, ensuring best practices in candidate sourcing, contract negotiation, and placements.
- Oversee the entire recruitment process, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in meeting staffing goals.
- Ensure cross-departmental collaboration to align recruitment efforts with business needs and growth objectives.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to recruitment and other operational teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
Process Improvement and System Building:
- Audit current processes and identify areas for improvement and automation.
- Design and implement systems that align with business goals.
- Integrate project management tools to enhance workflow efficiency.
- Monitor operational performance through metrics and KPIs.
Strategic Implementation with leadership team
- Partner with the executive team to translate strategic visions into clear operational plans and workflows.
- Lead the launch of new teams, services, and processes, ensuring successful execution and integration within existing operations.
- Support the leadership team in scaling the business, ensuring that all systems, processes, and teams can accommodate growth.
- Provide direction and support to ensure high performance.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and feedback sessions.
- Align team goals with overall business objectives.
Project Management
- Oversee key initiatives, tracking progress, and ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce bottleneck
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for operational processes.
- Ensure team members understand and follow guidelines.
- Promote knowledge sharing and organizational learning.
Risk & Compliance
- Implement and maintain risk management practices across operations, particularly focusing on legal, tax, and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure the company adheres to industry best practices in all areas of operations, including recruitment, finance, and marketing.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in operations management with a focus on system building.
- Proven experience in creating and implementing SOPs and operational frameworks.
- Strong project management skills and experience with relevant tools.
- Demonstrated success in managing and leading teams.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to create ROI with operational efficiencies.
- Prior experience in staffing, recruitment, or the tech industry at high-growth start-ups is preferred.
