Our client is a dynamic and innovative professional services firm with an extensive history. They are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in driving their respective cloud initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Azure Infrastructure Management:
- Design, implement, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure, including virtual machines, networks, storage, and security solutions.
- Optimize cloud resources for performance, cost-effectiveness, and scalability.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Azure DevOps and PowerShell.
MECM Integration:
- Integrate Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) with Azure environments for device management, patch management, and software deployment.
- Configure and manage MECM infrastructure components, such as distribution points and boundary groups.
Azure Ecosystem Expertise:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure technologies and services, such as Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Machine Learning.
- Leverage these services to build scalable and efficient cloud solutions.
Cloud Migration:
- Plan and execute cloud migration projects, including assessing existing infrastructure, developing migration strategies, and migrating workloads to Azure.
Security and Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to security best practices and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR).
- Implement security measures to protect cloud resources and data.
Troubleshooting and Support:
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to Azure infrastructure and applications.
- Provide technical support to internal teams and external customers.
Collaboration and Mentoring:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cloud-based solutions.
- Mentor junior team members and share knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in cloud computing, with a strong focus on Azure.
- Proven expertise in designing, implementing, and managing Azure infrastructure components.
- In-depth knowledge of MECM and its integration with Azure.
- Experience with automation tools like Azure DevOps and PowerShell.
- Strong understanding of networking, security, and compliance concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as Azure Certified Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Certified DevOps Engineer Expert.
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
