SUMMARY
The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for inspecting, auditing, and reporting on materials, process and products using measuring instruments and techniques to ensure conformance with quality standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Performs precision measurement of equipment components as required for conformance verification to documented specifications.
Performs and maintains control of inspection, measuring, and test equipment calibration program.
Performs product audits to documented drawings and procedures.
Communicates with other company personnel in a professional and technical manner as required in problem resolution situations.
Evaluates test reports to determine product conformance to specified requirements as required.
Maintains accurate quality records of test results and prepares non-conforming reports when required.
Performs receiving, in-processing, and final inspections of materials and products from both internal and external sources.
Evaluates customer returned equipment for warranty consideration.
Maintains files of inspections results, test data, and performance reports
Accesses calibration system to recall instruments due for calibration and issues calibrated instruments.
Understands and adheres to all company health and safety procedures as they relate to essential job functions.
QUALIFICATIONS
Significant working knowledge of inspection tools, sampling plans, supplier corrective action programs, and source inspection programs
Must be able to read and comprehend work instructions, drawings, and blueprints.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma and 2-3 years previous experience in assembly or an equivalent combination of education and training
