Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Active IL license required to apply Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC Must-Have: - Experience in general emergency department settings, preferably in a Level II Trauma Center. - Ability to float as needed within scope to meet facility needs. Job Description: - Provide high-quality care in a 32-bed emergency department with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio. - Manage a diverse range of cases including cardiac, neurological, orthopedic, pediatric, psychiatric, respiratory, and trauma. - Perform emergency response and cardiac monitoring, including dysrhythmia interpretation and management. - Conduct IV therapy and phlebotomy tasks, including starting IVs and administering blood products. - Handle medication administration, including continuous IV paralytics, sedation, emergency medications, and IV vasopressors. - Manage patients with traumatic brain or spinal cord injury and multisystem organ dysfunction/failure. - Address pediatric emergencies such as asthma, seizures, burns, infections, and more. - Respond to acute psychiatric situations, including drug overdoses and managing violent behavior. - Interpret ABGs, manage ventilated patients, and handle chest tube insertion and management. - Utilize Cerner charting systems and perform telemetric interpretations. - Practice isolation precautions and effective triage. Previous charge and Cerner experience is preferred. Flu vaccination is required, with medical/religious exemptions considered. Must be open to working every other weekend. Submittals are accepted from local and traveling professionals with flexible RTO policies. Candidates must work two out of three major holidays.
