The Role:
- Organize, implement, and audit the corporate health & safety programs and strategy at the sites, ensuring compliance to all regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with management during internal and external audits and inspections of the workplace to ensure teammates are safe in their operations and surrounding environment.
- Serve as the primary contact for site injury and incident notification, investigation, and case management.
- Analyze safety data to identify trends, areas of concern, and opportunities for improvement.
The Candidate:
- 7+ years of health and safety management experience in heavy manufacturing environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Health & Safety or a related field
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, able to interface with employees at all levels of the organization
- Strong MSHA knowledge.
- Ability to work within a unionized environment.
