We are looking for an experienced Residential Preconstruction Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all preconstruction phases. This role requires a strong understanding of construction methodologies, cost management, risk management, and project bidding. The candidate will play a critical role in shaping the success of our construction projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage all preconstruction activities, including project planning, estimating, scheduling, and budgeting.
2. Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure project plans and designs are feasible and cost-effective.
3. Evaluate project risk and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
4. Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for each phase of the project, ensuring all aspects are accurately accounted for.
5. Review and evaluate bids from contractors and subcontractors, ensuring they meet project specifications and budget constraints.
6. Participate in project meetings, providing updates and progress reports to stakeholders.
7. Ensure all preconstruction activities adhere to company standards and construction safety regulations.
8. Utilize project management tools and software to track project progress and manage resources efficiently.
9. Collaborate with the project management team to transition projects from preconstruction to the construction phase smoothly.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
2. Experience in preconstruction management.
3. Proficient in project management software and tools.
4. Exceptional skills in project planning, budgeting, and estimating.
5. Solid understanding of construction safety regulations and risk management practices.
6. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage relationships with clients, stakeholders, and construction professionals.
