Project Manager (with Heavy Civil background) WANTED in TEXAS!
Job Description:
- Pay Range: Commensurate with industry experience
- Schedule: Typically Monday through Friday, with additional days as needed
- Benefits: PTO starts at 15 days (negotiable), 401k, relocation bonus provided, company truck, and gas card.
- Location: Various locations, primarily based in San Antonio, Houston, or Dallas, Texas. Open to candidates who would be open to relocate to TX. (Applicants MUST already be living in the US and unable to sponsor candidates).
Objective:
The Project Engineer provides essential support to the Project Manager and Project Superintendent. Responsibilities include goal setting, planning, communication, organization, implementation, and tracking to ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize, review, and distribute project submittals
- Maintain updated plan drawings and revisions
- Create and manage all required project logs
- Perform material take-offs
- Communicate effectively with the owner and client representatives
- Calculate pricing and manage contracts and purchase orders for subcontractors and suppliers
- Schedule subcontractor work and material deliveries
- Maintain an organized work area and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Prepare reports, business correspondence, and project documentation
- Present information clearly in one-on-one and small group settings to customers, clients, and employees
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Three or more years of relevant experience will also be considered
- Proficiency in Primavera 3 and 6
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to apply algebra, geometry, and construction math concepts
- Valid driver’s license for occasional travel
- Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret complex technical instructions and handle abstract and concrete variables
- Physical ability to navigate construction sites, including overcoming minor obstacles by foot
- Manual dexterity for handling items and using tools where necessary
