Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: NICU Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night, 3x12 Hr Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Previous experience as a Registered Nurse is preferred License: Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice is required Certifications: - BLS - American Heart Association - ACLS/NRP/PALS as appropriate for unit or service Must-Have: - ASN - Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing - Team player Job Description: - Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing. - Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care. - Evaluate health status through the ongoing collection and assessment of health data. - Perform health teaching and health counseling. - Provide therapy and treatment that is supportive and restorative to life and well-being either directly to the patient or indirectly through consultation with, delegation to, supervision of, or teaching of others. - Execute delegated medical functions. - Refer patients as needed for further evaluation or treatment. - Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans. - Document in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines. - Use resources as needed. - Promote mission, vision, and values of the organization and abide by service behavior standards. - Perform other duties as assigned. - May be required to float to other departments (within scope of competency and qualifications) based on business need. - May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.
