Overview:
Under the direction of the ED nurse manager and director, assists in the development, organization, implementation and evaluation of the total service given in the Emergency Department. Effectively supervises ED techs and nurses in the delivery of patient care, ensuring that patient safety and customer satisfaction remain a priority. Assists in overseeing the departments daily staffing requirements; provides leadership in clinical problem solving and daily management of flow through the department. Participates in staff recruitment, orientation and retention and provides education as needed. Implements and interprets department and hospital policies and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years' experience ER RN experience
- Required Education: Graduate of accredited RN program
- Preferred Education: BSN
- Certifications: BLS through the American Heart Association
