About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Grants Administrator for a temporary position in Oakland. This role is hybrid, offering flexibility with two remote days per week. As a Grants Administrator, you will work closely with our accounting and fundraising teams to manage both government grants and private donations. Comfort with Vlookups and Pivot Tables is essential to track and manage financial data accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor Government Grant:
- Prepare monthly and quarterly invoices
- Track accounting transactions related to county, state, and federal funding
- Update monthly schedules and government reports
- Monitor Restricted Private Donations:
- Track approximately 30 restricted grants
- Collaborate closely with the fundraising and programs teams
- Manage monthly releases of restricted funds
- Reconcile various revenue streams (lockbox, credit card, EFT, check) with Salesforce and record transactions in CERES
- Develop Budget Proposals and Donor Reports:
- Create comprehensive budget proposals
- Provide detailed financial reporting for donors
Qualifications:
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Vlookups and Pivot Tables
Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and ERP systems (CERES preferred)
Proven experience managing government grants and private donations
Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment
