Job Description
The Senior Contracts Specialist position is responsible for all contractual activities from the date an order is received through to shipment while maintaining strict use of Rotork’s systems and procedures. The position requires knowledge and experience in valve automation, technical acumen and attention to detail together with a strong commitment to top-quality customer service. Responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for order entry and contractual activities from order receipt through shipment
- Champion on time delivery to the customer and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
- Knowledge of Rotork Gears products and their application in all sectors
- Point of reference for specific knowledge within the Contracts team
- To work with the Engineering department to effectively prioritize and expedite engineered orders through to production release
- Proactively review the Past Due Orders and Orders scheduled to ship during the week and work with Supply Chain for resolutions
- Liaison between all departments (sales, engineering, quality, production) within Rotork factories to ensure the fulfilment of customer requirements.
- Track all orders as they move through the overall process including key dates and actions
- Strive to meet and exceed department objectives for delivery, quality, inventory, and cost
- To use existing procedures to solve routine or standard problems
- To organize the working day so that priorities are addressed, customer expectations are met and internal delays reduced
- Provide technical phone support and serve as a resource for our customers, representatives, distributors, Business Development and Area Sales Managers to help promote Rotork.
- To undertake any other job function as required by your supervisor
Qualifications
- Degree or mechanical engineering qualification or equivalent
- Typically 3+ years of relevant experience in a similar role
- Understanding of engineering drawings
- Commercial awareness or a background in Customer Service
- Knowledge of material pricing
- In-depth product / application knowledge and specific experience in own discipline
- Experience of valve industry
