Regional Operations Director
Job Summary:
The Regional Operations Director is responsible for directing and coordinating the operations of multiple manufacturing facilities within a designated region. The role involves overseeing production, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, managing budgets, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of manufacturing facilities within the region.
- Ensure production targets and quality standards are met.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
- Leadership and Team Development:
- Provide leadership and direction to plant managers and other senior staff.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Mentor and develop management teams, promoting professional growth.
- Develop and execute regional operational strategies aligned with the company’s goals.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.
- Collaborate with executive leadership on long-term planning and capital investment projects.
- Budget and Financial Management:
- Prepare and manage regional budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Monitor and control operational expenses.
- Analyze financial reports and implement cost-saving measures.
- Ensure all facilities comply with industry regulations and company standards.
- Implement and maintain quality assurance programs.
- Address and resolve quality issues promptly.
- Safety and Environmental Compliance:
- Promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Oversee environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives.
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
- Customer and Supplier Relations:
- Maintain strong relationships with key customers and suppliers.
- Ensure timely and efficient delivery of products to meet customer demands.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers.
- Prepare regular reports on operational performance for senior management.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Use data to drive decision-making processes.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a senior management role overseeing multiple sites.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proven track record of driving operational improvements and cost savings.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong financial acumen and budgeting experience.

Work Environment:
- Frequent travel to various manufacturing sites within the region.
- Office environment with regular visits to production floors.
- May involve exposure to manufacturing environments with varying noise levels and machinery.
