Nonprofit Development Manager

Our client, a nonprofit foundation focused on education, advocacy and engagement, is seeking a Development Manager. This fundraising professional will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and executing the Foundation’s development plan including corporate giving, major and board giving, special events, capital campaign, membership (subscription giving), and grant management. The Development Manager works closely with The Executive Director, Education Director, Museum Director, and the Board of Directors in all development and fundraising endeavors.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to achieve the organization's goals and objectives.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the organization, including managing staff, volunteers, and resources.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, community partners, and government agencies.
- Lead fundraising efforts to secure financial support for the organization's programs and initiatives.
- Develop and manage budgets, ensuring financial sustainability and accountability.
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting professional development.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Represent the organization at public events, conferences, and meetings.

Requirements:
- 3+ years of fundraising experience
- Bachelor’s degree, required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Graphic Design Software, Website Software, Duda preferred
- Basic branding, design, and marketing
- Proficiency in CRM software, SalesForce preferred
