Team Background:
The defaults management team handles early and life-stage delinquency reporting and management.
This position/team does not work directly with individuals regarding their home loans; rather, it collaborates with home loan banks. The home loan banks are the customers of the client, and this team focuses on default management and delinquency management for these banks.
Key Experience & Skills Required:
- Default Management Experience – Critical for managing the full lifecycle of delinquency.
- Delinquency Reporting – Preferred experience in delinquency reporting and analysis.
- Customer Service – General experience in customer service, including managing phone calls and responding to emails on the ServiceNow platform.
- Data Management – Ability to manage large datasets effectively.
- Operations Management – Experience in both default management and operations management is essential.
- MS Excel – Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Liability Reviews – Experience conducting liability reviews.
Top 3 Skillsets:
- Delinquency Management – Experience with the delinquency management lifecycle.
- Analytical Skills – Strong analytical and data analytics abilities.
- Loss Mitigation – In-depth understanding of loss mitigation processes, including both retention and non-retention strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate reasons for delinquency and develop strategies for closure prevention management.
- Report generation and data analytics, particularly related to mortgage servicing and default management.
- Experience in mortgage servicing with a minimum of 2 years working as a mortgage servicer across various departments.
Education & Experience:
- Substantial Microsoft Office products (notably Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and Access) knowledge. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Access
- Substantial knowledge of the delinquency life cycle start to finish including: early stage, late stage and post conveyance
- Substantial understanding of Investor requirements around Loss Mitigation alternatives used to assist homeowners such as: modifications, forbearance plans, deferrals and repayment plans
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in a mortgage, banking, of financial services environment
- 3-5 years customer service experience
- Bachelors Degree preferred
