Position Overview: They are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join our team in Montgomery, AL. As a Senior Data Analyst at Optum, you'll leverage your analytical expertise to uncover trends, optimize processes, and guide strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze complex healthcare data sets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop, manage, and maintain data models, reports, and dashboards to support business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including clinical, financial, and operational groups to interpret data and make strategic recommendations.
- Translate business requirements into actionable data insights to support decision-making and policy formulation.
- Conduct in-depth analyses to evaluate the effectiveness of healthcare programs and initiatives.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems and platforms.
- Present findings and recommendations to key stakeholders and leadership teams.
- Lead initiatives to improve data analytics processes and methodologies.
- Mentor junior analysts and provide guidance on best practices in data analysis and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the healthcare or insurance industry.
- Expertise in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of healthcare data, including claims, EMR, and patient outcomes data.
- Proven ability to communicate complex data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with predictive analytics, machine learning, or advanced statistical methods is a plus.
