Description:
Our client has an immediate need for a Senior Data Analyst, who is responsible for coordinating changes to computer databases, testing, and implementing the database applying knowledge of database management systems
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science/software engineering/relevant field
- 4-6 years of experience
- General knowledge of data applications, including data movement, database design, data controls, reconciliation, and logging
- Experience working with business partners in gathering and refining business requirements for data projects
- Experience creating project documentation including BRDs, STMs, and release planning.
- Experience creating, troubleshooting, and tuning SQL queries for relational databases; Oracle preferred
- Experience working in an Agile work environment using Scrum and/or Kanban methodologies
- Familiarity with modern database and information system technologies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience working with ML models is a plus
- Experience with Automation background, automation of manual repeatable tasks is a plus
- Experience with Data visualization and reporting is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for profiling data to refine business requirements according to the data that is available
- Responsible for creating requirements, documents, and design documents including STM (source-to-target mapping)
- Responsible for building and tuning SQL queries
- Work with senior management, technical and client teams in order to determine data requirements, business data implementation approaches, best practices for advanced data manipulation, storage, and analysis strategies
- Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions
- Design, implement, automate, and maintain large-scale enterprise data ETL processes
- Modify existing databases and database management systems and/or direct programmers and analysts to make changes
- Test programs or databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications
