Job Overview
We are seeking a pair of dedicated and skilled Associate Attorneys to join our legal team - one to handle criminal matters, one to assist on civil matters. The ideal candidate will possess a strong acadmic and professional record. This position requires excellent legal research and drafting skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple cases effectively. The Associate Attorneys will work closely with clients to provide sound legal advice and representation while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
*Responsibilities*
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on various cases and legal issues.
- Draft legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Assist in the preparation of estate planning documents and family law agreements.
- Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.
- Maintain accurate case files and documentation using legal administrative practices.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases to develop effective strategies.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to practice areas.
- Utilize Weslaw for research purposes to support case preparation.
*Requirements*
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school - top 1/2 of graduating class.
- Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Proficiency in legal drafting and research methodologies.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Prior experience in a law firm or governmental setting.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
