Title Epic Application Analyst -Epic Bridges and HL7
Location: Stamford, CT - Hybrid
Salary: $95,000 – $135,000
Responsibilities:
- This Epic Application Analyst has a major impact on how this health care institution utilizes technology to improve patient care. This Epic Applications Analyst play a critical role in the implementation and installation of Epic applications, module upgrades, new components and modifications. This position is responsible for workflow configurations, go-live support, and on-going client support. You will be involved in several Epic integration and interface projects.
- Participate in the design, development and maintenance of system interfaces. Validate and test system interfaces.
- Make necessary enhancements to add or maintain functionality of the application. These changes may include creating and modifying screens, tables, dictionaries, and rules.
- Contact vendor to report escalations and obtain assistance with solving issues.
- Assist with the coordination of vendor activities including hardware or software installation.
- Apply business knowledge to system processes and manipulation of data to ensure successful transactions through the system.
- Install EPIC applications, new components, and upgrade existing applications. Communicate configurations and application settings.
- Provide go-live and rollout support. Support users on EPIC applications, modules, and functionality.
- Provide application troubleshooting support EPIC. Resolve the issue, forward it to the correct group for remediation, or elevate it to the vendor if required.
- Assist with determining how a new system, upgrade, or new component can best meet the needs of the users.
- Analyze business/clinical needs and requirements.
- Evaluate the operational workflow that is applied to the system.
- Create system specifications from user requirements.
- Participate in test plans systems, version upgrades, and any system modification.
- Monitor application issues and evaluate issues as they arise.
Requirements:
- Epic Bridges certification
- 3+ years of HL7 Experience
- 3+ years of Epic Clinical Application Support
- EPIC Application implementation, troubleshooting, and support experience required
- Epic Application testing experience
