Position Summary
Red Lion Controls has an exciting opportunity for a Test Engineer. The position will report to the Test Engineering Supervisor and work closely with the test engineering team on driving engineering activities including design, validation, sustainment, and internal documentation of automated tests for our line of industrial networking products.
Essential Job Functions
- Assist in the design, construction, and operation of complex test equipment using LabVIEW and TestStand
- Contribute to troubleshooting issues on the manufacturing floor and determine root cause
- Support sustaining issues while maintaining a focus on continuous improvement
- Manage multiple projects while meeting requirements in a collaborative environment
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Science Engineering, or related field; or Associate’s degree in a related field and 7+ years of relevant experience
- Teststand and Labview Experience strongly preferred
- Experience with Test Equipment; DC/AC Power, DMM, Frequency Counter, Waveform Generator
- Knowledge of electrical component level troubleshooting and debugging
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of printed circuit board design, fabrication, and assembly
- Knowledge of communications protocols; RS232, RS485, Ethernet, etc.
- Intelligent problem-solving ability and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience with Documentation and procedure writing in a manufacturing setting
- Knowledge of automated test and mechanical fixturing methods
