Tandym Group has several immediate opportunities for Credit Balances Specialists with a client in Virginia. These contracts will be 100% remote. These resources will be responsible for managing and resolving credit balances within the Epic HB system. This role involves analyzing account discrepancies, processing adjustments, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical billing processes, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze credit balances in the Epic HB system to identify discrepancies and necessary adjustments.
- Investigate the root causes of credit balances, including overpayments, billing errors, and payment posting issues.
- Process refunds and adjustments in accordance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate with billing, collections, and finance teams to resolve outstanding issues related to credit balances.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all credit balance activities, ensuring compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
- Communicate effectively with insurance providers regarding credit balances and refunds.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in inpatient collections, follow up, medical billing, or related roles, with a focus on credit balance resolution.
- Strong knowledge of Epic HB software and its functionality, particularly in relation to billing and credit balance management.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards is a plus.
