Senior Vendor Relations Specialist
Location: Greater St. Louis, Missouri area (Hybrid schedule strongly preferred)
We are seeking a Senior Vendor Relations Specialist to join our client's team on a long term contract basis.
The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, business acumen, and experience managing relationships with external vendors. You’ll play a key role in resolving issues, advising on vendor offerings, and ensuring smooth project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage relationships between the company and external vendors.
- Administer contracts with software vendors and maintain vendor-related documentation.
- Serve as a knowledge resource on external vendors and marketplace offerings.
- Advise on vendor options and negotiate terms for future software releases.
- Resolve issues related to software applications, both new and existing.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop work estimates, budgets, and schedules.
- Review project deliverables and mentor team members.
- Estimate resources for medium-sized, straightforward projects.
- Proactively build and maintain strong customer relationships.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 5+ years of experience in the IT industry.
- Strong experience negotiating with IT vendors and managing contracts.
- In-depth knowledge of project management and software development life cycles.
- Experience in a healthcare setting is a plus.
