Production Supervisor (3rd Shift: 10:45pm - 7:15am)

Job Summary:
The Shift Supervisor provides leadership to the production shift, ensuring team members are trained, developed, and led according to company guidelines. The role focuses on exceeding safety, quality, and on-time delivery goals while managing productivity and cost. This position is a key contributor to the development and implementation of company guidelines and best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate production plans with the Production Manager based on production requirements (orders, drawings, specifications) to optimize productivity.
- Train and develop team members in operating processes such as injection molding, CNC routers, bends, assembly procedures, and other manufacturing tasks.
- Operate production lines when needed and oversee line changeovers, ensuring smooth transitions and training others to handle changeovers independently.
- Conduct regular audits on production quality and performance throughout the shift, addressing any issues and implementing corrective actions.
- Use small hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, hammers, power drills) and machinery (e.g., drill presses, power saws, punches).
- Oversee the packaging, skidding, and labeling of in-process and finished products, ensuring compliance with procedures and quality standards.
- Move stock and finished products manually or with manual stock-handling equipment such as handcarts and pallet jacks. Forklift operation is optional with proper training.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience/Skills:
- Proficient in using tape measures (to within 1/16") and basic measuring tools (calipers, gauges, etc.).
- Experience in reading production documents and mechanical drawings (training provided).
- Familiarity with hand tools and powered machinery (training available).
- Ability to lift 55 lbs. regularly for refilling hoppers and other tasks.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and ERP systems (training provided).
- Positive attitude and ability to work effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
- Forklift certification is optional (training provided).
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
- This role is based in a light manufacturing environment with typical plant noise levels.
- Regular use of measurement tools, hand tools, and small machines with repetitive hand motions.
- Physical demands include standing, walking, reaching, bending, and lifting a minimum of 55 pounds.
