Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Governance and Oversight:
- Establish and maintain project governance frameworks, including policies, procedures, and tools for project execution.
- Ensure project teams follow best practices, standardized processes, and methodologies.
- Monitor the overall project portfolio to ensure timely and budgeted delivery of all projects.
- Project Planning and Support:
- Assist in the creation of project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Facilitate coordination between different project teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Provide guidance on project scope, risk management, and project lifecycle processes.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Track the progress of ongoing projects, identifying issues or bottlenecks and providing mitigation strategies.
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics to assess project health.
- Prepare and deliver regular project status reports and dashboards to senior management and stakeholders.
- Manage resource allocation across multiple projects to ensure optimal utilization of staff and other resources.
- Maintain a central repository for project documentation and lessons learned for future reference.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Act as the central point of communication between project teams, senior management, and external stakeholders.
- Conduct regular stakeholder meetings and ensure all project-related updates are shared in a timely manner.
- Risk and Issue Management:
- Identify project risks and issues, developing appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Ensure that any project risks are communicated effectively to stakeholders.
- Continuously review and improve PMO processes and tools to enhance project delivery efficiency.
- Lead post-project evaluations and implement lessons learned.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in project management or a similar role.
- Experience with program and portfolio management tools and methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, Agile, etc.).
- Proven experience in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of project management frameworks and best practices.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana).
- Analytical thinking and strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Leadership and team management skills.
Preferred Certifications:
- PMP (Project Management Professional)
- PRINCE2
- Agile certifications (e.g., Scrum Master, SAFe Agilist)
