Robert Half is looking for a pro-active and detail-oriented Government Contracts Manager to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will draft and implement both internal and external subcontract agreements, as part of your duties on the project management team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing USAID contracts and mitigating risk.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and oversee all contractual documents including internal and external subcontract agreements, ensuring adherence to company policies and government specifications and requirements.
- Manage ongoing contract issues, execute change management processes, and ensure appropriate contract close-out.
- Prepare and share updates regarding contract status, compliance, modifications, and maintain both electronic and hard-copy contract databases.
- Update external reporting systems like eSRS, FSRS, CMRA as and when necessary.
- Respond to contract and compliance inquiries from project and proposal teams.
- Collaborate with technical counterparts, finance, proposal team, and senior management to address issues and evaluate and mitigate risks.
- Provide complex advice on RFPs, contracts, subcontracts, continual review to ensure that all terms and conditions are met, and identify areas of risk.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or related field; advanced degree is a plus.
- A minimum of five years’ experience in contract management, particularly in government sector.
- Strong knowledge of USAID regulations and policies.
- Excellent negotiation, management, and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment.
- Contract Management certification is beneficial.
