Arcana has been exclusively asked to find and place an Associate or Senior Associate-level Fundraiser with its client, a Boca Raton, FL-based real estate private equity investment firm. This new position is being created to enhance our client's business development and fundraising capacity across its value add and opportunistic commercial real estate investment fund vehicles. The position will work closely with the Founder and President as well as other team members to execute outbound business development initiatives to research, meet with, and establish new private wealth and institutional LP commitments.
The Fundraiser will be responsible for activities relating to investor research, outreach, communication, and new investor attainment. As the Associate gains experience and knowledge, the level of contribution from a business development perspective is expected to increase. The Fundraiser is expected to work cohesively with internal teams to source, qualify, contact, arrange appointments, and present fund offerings to prospective HNWI, RIAs, and Family Offices. This role will ultimately be responsible for acquiring and onboarding new investors, with very strong earning potential associated with performance.
The finalist will be expected to implement best practices in each area of investor relations and to maintain responsibility for the development and execution of a sales pipeline. The finalist will be deal-oriented and have demonstrated experience navigating the wealth management, real estate investment, or financial services industries, and a solutions-oriented mindset. The Finalist must be able to work from our client's office in Boca Raton, FL (some travel also required).
Responsibilities
- Research prospective private wealth LPs, build an actionable contact pipeline, and execute phone and email outreach to prospective targets. Maintain and follow up on pipeline regularly.
- Coordinate, set, attend and eventually lead appointments with prospective LPs.
- Prepare and present updates and reports internally to the team, regularly as defined, as well as ad hoc requests.
- Respond to prospective LP questions. Develop rapport with prospective and active clients.
- Build an understanding of fund offerings to support, participate in, and eventually lead client pitch meetings.
- Continually identify strategies and opportunities for business development, client origination, and client retention.
Target Candidate
- 3+ years of similar investment product sales and marketing experience, investor relations experience, or financial services sales experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate, Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or similar.
- Experience in the wealth management, commercial real estate, or financial services industry.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong character, a positive attitude, and a desire to establish a long-term career in fundraising.
- Based in or near Boca Raton, FL and able to work full-time from the company HQ.
