Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a High School Math Teacher at Pinnacle Academy in Bradenton, FL. The Math Teacher will be responsible for lesson planning, teaching Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and Personal Finance to high school students, and fostering effective communication in the classroom.
Qualifications
- Experience teaching high school students
- Strong communication skills
- Understanding of different learning styles
- Patience and empathy for students with diverse needs
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or related field
- Teaching certification or licensure
- Implement differentiated instructional strategies to ensure all students can access and master mathematical concepts.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of subject matter content.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and up to 10 pounds of force as frequently as needed to move objects.
- Mobility: The role requires the ability to walk around the campus, which includes navigating uneven terrain. With occasional longer walks for field trips or events.
- Physical Endurance: The position involves periods of standing and walking to monitor student activities and ensure safety across the school grounds.
- Outdoor Supervision: Supervise and engage with students in various outdoor settings, including during recess, physical education, and other extracurricular activities.
Certification in Mathematics Grades 6-12 is required.
Experience teaching students with learning disabilities is required.

Pay: $49,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
